Understand the old versus the new culture in learning to effectively communicate with people with dementia. Learn the six domains of Person-Centered Care and Teepa Snow’s Gems Approach and how this can improve the quality of life of the person with diagnosis and the caregiver.

Working Through Difficult Situations
Learn how to navigate through difficult situations and behaviors with a loved one with dementia/Alzheimer’s. Learn how to identify certain triggers by reading non-verbal body cues and ways to adapt to create moments for success utilizing the Best Friend’s Approach
